Artist Sculpture Installation Social Engagement

I am a recent Fine Art graduate from Coventry University.My areas of artistic interest are experimentation of materials to develop sculptural forms.I do not set myself any limits on what materials I will use in the future, this may include sound and film.My 30 plus years as a qualified nurse has informed my work so far and I aim to continue an exploration of social history and scientific interest that has arisen from my experiences.

Sculptural piece using sillicone mould , porcelain slip and textile burn off.Piece was one of a series of sculptures exploring the lives of women I looked after as a student nurse in an long stay asylum ward in Bristol.

I try to respond to my subject matter with materials that I feel are appropriate.During my recent Fine Art Degree I used sculptural practice ,incorporating plaster ,ceramic, glass, and textile.My work has been based on my experiences as a qualified Nurse, over 30 years.
