I am Smaranda, a 27 years self-thought photographer from Romania. I use portrait photography to bring to light the beauty in others and help them become more confident in their own skin. Photography has allowed me to decide how I want to be perceived by others and has worked as a therapeutic tool in my relation with my body. I hope to guide others in their journey towards self-love.

In the past I have shot mainly outdoors, using natural light. However, at this stage I plan to focus more on the people in my photos and not their surroundings, so I am leaning more towards studio photography. For this reason, I am looking forward to using my residency time to bring new faces in front of my camera and explore new ways to give space and freedom to our human experience to shine though our bodies.
