Having taught for 20 years my skills are quite diverse, and cover most media. My interests lie in Public Interventions, Art as Activism, People and places, Narrative & Story telling, Text & image, Nature & Sustainability, Mark-making, Art & Faith/ Spirituality and I love making ceramics. Art that makes a point and also reaches the fringes and gives others a voice is particularly important to me. Material / media is second to the purpose/ function and I work in everything from print making to textiles, from instillation to ceramics.

I have lots of experience in working with groups, people of all ages, exhibitions, co-creation and public participation. I am now coming out of a 20 year teaching career in Art and Photography 11-18 to develop my own practise at last and work in the community and public engagement and facilitation.

I also dabble in different bits and bobs and recently have had 2 of my print and designs made by London Shoe Embassy ... if you like quirky footwear check them out!

I have run sucessful art departments achieving top grades, and was part of a team starting a new school ( and art and photography department myself ) from scratch. I also write educational art resources. I am Artist in Residence at Greenmoor Allotment for Warwickshire Arts and Heritage and Public Health and am Lead Artist on Saturdays for Friction Arts ' Art club' in Digbeth which is funded by Children In Need.

I have started Arts In Action a Not for Profit in Community Arts Provision and i also run sessions for Home Ed families and Private Art and Photography GCSES / A levels.
